FLânerie: A Literary Bridge for Multicultural Students

Future Learning Theatre (Curated by EdCity)

Overview

The Chinese learning outcomes of multicultural students have always been a topic of concern for teachers and parents. In this seminar, speakers will approach the subject from the perspective of "FLânerie," sharing how to effectively utilize community cultural resources, such as the Wun Yiu Kiln Site, Tai Po located nearby the school. They will integrate translated literary resources from famous authors, such as Shuntarou Tanikawa and Miyazawa Kenji, along with their picture books. Additionally, the use of artificial intelligence platforms will assist students in writing poetry and creating images, transforming them from passive readers into active creators. Through multimodal learning activities, the design aims to enhance multicultural students' engagement in literary reading and creation.
