The seminar integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Chinese language learning, emphasising innovation in pedagogy. The lesson design focuses on the creative use of AI tools like Canva and Midjourney to enhance students' descriptive writing skills. The teaching objectives include enabling students to observe, imagine, and describe characters effectively, using AI-generated visuals as inspiration. Students will first revisit descriptive writing techniques, then use AI tools to create visual representations of characters, and finally write a descriptive piece based on their observations and AI-generated images.
